I Timothy 1:16 NKJV “However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.”
Have you ever thought about the fact that there could be a reason for which you were saved? Maybe you didn’t know; but without a doubt, there’s a special reason why God saved you. God specifically chose you for salvation; He sent that brother or sister to you that day, He made you attend that meeting where you heard the message and got saved, because He has a special assignment for you.
Just being saved is not enough. There are lots of idle believers in the kingdom. These brethren are born again but are not fulfilling the purposes for which they were saved. God is pleased to have personal relationships with each one of us, but more than that, He greatly desires to use us in different ways.
You’ve got to discover the reason why you were saved. Galatians 1:15-16 says, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles…” Paul was saved that he might preach among the Gentiles! Why were you saved? Maybe it’s a book you’re supposed to write; maybe it’s songs you’re meant to sing; it could be caring for orphans and the elderly, or starting a school to raise godly children. No two people and situations are exactly the same; God wants to use you to do something unique where you are, in your country and in the world. There is a reason, discover it.
