Many signs and wonders were being done through the hands of the apostles; believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes gathered from the surrounding cities, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. Then the high priest and Sadducees rose up, and they were filled with indignation, and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in prison.
You see, when you’re small, average, doing nothing significant, no one cares, they may not even notice you. But when big things begin to happen, when they notice that you’ve got a great destiny, then they begin to come after you, they try to extinguish your fire and stop your momentum. But they will fail in Jesus name!
The apostles were put in prison, but at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out. Hallelujah! Maybe you’re in some kind of prison right now; it could be an unpleasant situation; a precarious condition; maybe you have been limited in some way; I’ve got good news for you, God has given His angels charge over you; you are coming out, in the name of Jesus! They were brought out at night: those that put them in prison were asleep; they could not stop them from coming out. Nothing will stop you from coming out, in Jesus name. Say Amen!
