To delight in someone is to be greatly pleased by them. It’s not a matter of if He delights in us or not, He is! Psalm 147:11 says that “The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.”
Zephaniah 3:17 says it a lot better: “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Wow! Did you see that? God rejoices over us with gladness; He rejoices over us with singing!
Never doubt His love for you. Don’t let Satan ever make you feel unloved and unworthy. God proved His love for you on the cross over two thousand years ago and He hasn’t changed His mind about loving you. Live everyday in a way that pleases Him; let Him know how much you love Him. Amen.
