Something interesting happened a few hours before the night that the king could not sleep: Haman made gallows to hang Mordecai because Mordecai wouldn’t bow to him. The same day that people were planning to kill Mordecai was the same day that God made the king remember him!
Mordecai was a good man so he didn’t really bother about being rewarded for saving the life of the king; some other person would have been upset. Mordecai may have felt overlooked and ignored, but God delayed the reward until when the time was right.
Understand how God works: His ways are not our ways. You may think that He has forgotten about you; you may think that He’s late; and you may even think that He doesn’t care: I tell you, God never forgets His own, He’s never late, and He cares. Wait patiently for Him and trust His timing. He is up to something! Amen.
