The evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is speaking with other tongues. There are people who want us to believe otherwise, but they are wrong. Read the Bible, from the beginning, that is the day of Pentecost, men and women spoke with tongues when they received the Holy Spirit.
There are two types of tongues: tongues of men and tongues of angels. Tongues of men are human languages. The Holy Spirit can enable a person to speak with languages that he never learned or knew how to speak before. That’s what happened on the day of Pentecost. Tongues of angels are heavenly languages. This one no man understands. They are understood only by God and the angels, except they are being interpreted by one with a gift of interpretation.
1 Corinthians 14:4 says that he who speaks with tongues edifies himself. So how often do you edify yourself by speaking with tongues? You’ve got to make speaking with tongues a habit in order to be constantly energized.
