Doc Martin actress, Julie Graham, 49, is distraught over the death of her husband, Joseph Bennett, who was also an actor.
According to reports, the 44 year old Howards End actor was found hanging from a tree in Richmond Park dead in what has been ruled as suicide. The park is about 70 miles from the home he shared with his family in Brighton.
Even though the incident happened on April 13, 2015, news of the tragedy only recently emerged. His family has already held his funeral. The couple have been married since 2002 and have two children together, Eddie May and Betty aged 11 and 9 respectively.
Some of his other works include, TV shows The Bill and The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
Scotland Yard confirmed: ‘A man in his mid-40s was pronounced dead at the scene. A report has been submitted to the coroner’s officer.’
The couple met while starring together in a play in 2001 where they played brother and sister. Their romance bloomed and they married a year later.
Julie said in an interview at the time she gushed: ‘People had proposed to me before but I had always hesitated. But after eight months, he asked me to marry him and I said “yes” immediately. I’m absolutely nuts about him.
‘I’ve never felt like this about anyone before. This is the happiest I have ever been.’
In April, Julie was cast as the matriarch of a new family in Benidorm and she has since put on a brave face and continued filming for the new series weeks after her husband’s death.
