Barely 24 hours after a building collapsed in Prophet T. B. Joshua’s church, Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, in Ikotun, Lagos, another collapse is in the news.
This time it was the VIP stage at a political rally organised by Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN, held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Niger state.
The stage that collapsed housed the state governor, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu and other visiting governors. Also on the stage was the secretary to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Ayim Pius Ayim.
The impact of the stage collapse caused pandemonium as many attendee’s at the rally thought the loud bang was from a bomb explosion.
There was panic and many were injured as they tried to run to safety.
