Must read

Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi has advised the people of the state vote for President Goodluck Jonathan if he contests for second term in the 2015 elections.

Amaechi said this while speaking to the people of Kalabari on a visit to Degema Local government area of the state on Saturday, October 5, 2014.

He backed up his statement saying the President should show the world what he has done in Rivers state since he assumed office. He told the gathering of Kalabari people that President Jonathan was a stranger and not their brother.

Amaechi said: “The only way you can get back your oil wells is to vote out Mr. President. It is up to you, the Kalabari people, if you don’t vote out Mr. President, you know that you cannot have another Governor like me who can fight for you.

“They will put the last signature and your oil wells will be gone forever.

“Vote him out. He is not our brother. He is from Bayelsa, we are Rivers. He can only serve Bayelsa, he can not serve us.

“Let him tell us what he has done for us.”
