Many of President Donald Trump’s opponents claim he is unhealthy, but a White House physician as certified the president as being fit for the role.
Following the 71-year-old president’s annual medical checkup, White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson announced that Trump is in “excellent health.”
"The President’s physical exam today at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center went exceptionally well. The President is in excellent health and I look forward to briefing some of the details on Tuesday." Dr. Ronny Jackson

Jackson said further details about Trump’s health would be forthcoming next week. According to the New York Times, those details will come Tuesday when Jackson joins White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for the daily press briefing.
The exam took place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and spanned nearly three hours, the Huffington Post reported. It was Trump’s first physical exam as president.
Trump’s health has come under scrutiny in recent months as his detractors point to his Twitter account as evidence he is becoming mentally unstable. But Trump has denied that, writing on Twitter last week that he is a “very stable genius.”
….to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!

As Trump’s mental stability has been called into question, the White House said this week that his exam would not include a psychiatric test. This is routine of presidential physicals.
The last time the public was informed about the president’s health was during his campaign in 2015.
At the time, Dr. Harold Bornstein, Trump’s personal doctor for more than 35 years, wrote in a four-paragraph letter that if Trump was elected president, he would be the “healthiest individual” ever elected.
The doctor said Trump’s lab results were “astonishingly excellent” and his “physical strength and stamina are extraordinary.”
“His health is excellent, especially his mental health,” Bornstein told NBC at the time. “He thinks he’s the best, which works out just fine.”
