Woman Dies After Eating Food She ‘Laced With Love Portion’ For Husband In Delta

Must read

A woman has been reported dead after she ate the melon soup locally known as ‘Egusi’ which she prepared for her husband to make him love her more.

The woman, identified only as Egwoli, had reportedly put some substance which was prepared for her by a native doctor into the soup in Delta State.

It was learnt that the deceased was told that the supposed love charm would make her husband find her more desirable without knowing that it was actually poisonous.

According to reports, Egwoli visited the native doctor because she believed her husband was cheating on her, as they hadn’t slept together since they got married two years ago.

On return from the native doctor, the deceased mixed the charm in the soup which she intended to serve to her husband who was yet to return home.

Unfortunately, she allegedly mixed the charm into her own soup without suspecting that it was poisonous.

She later took her own share and went to bed where she was said to have died in her sleep.

Speaking about the development, the husband of the deceased said, “My wife had threatened to make me impotent when I stopped making love to her for obvious reasons and I found some fetish items in her room, including the egusi soup she ate before her death.”

In the meantime, a police investigation has been launched into the matter to unravel the mystery behind it.
