An armed man shot a woman and her 12-year-old son because they allegedly jeered at strangers inside a moving vehicle.
The 44-year-old woman, Denise Chiffon Berry, who works as a metro bus driver died on the spot whereas her son survived the multiple shots by a hair’s breadth and is said to be in stable condition at a hospital.
Police in California, said that a man opened fire on the woman and her son after he pointed at the man whose feet were hanging out the window of a moving vehicle.
World Wide Weird News said the boy pointed out the funny sight of the man’s legs hanging out of a Cadillac car which caused them great amusement but enraged the driver on the other hand.
It was learnt that the driver of the car trailed the duo and stopped near a Hawthorne police officer.
It was at that point that the unknown armed man shot the woman and her son multiple times before the police operatives shot him in return.
Officers arrested the driver of the car and the passenger aged 24, and 19, years old respectively.
