HYPOCRITES! Children Of Anger Under GEJ Are Now Children Of Peace Under Buhari (READ)

Must read

by Temidayo Ahanmisi

In 2015, the Children of Anger wailed to high heavens about the plight of Nigerian citizens who live in IDP camps.

They showed us revolting photos of malnourished humans holding bowls of undercooked rice with sauces which looked like cow urine.

In 2016, these COAs uploaded grinning photos of themselves demolishing plate after plate of choice exotic rice dishes, with gigantic chicken and turkey drumsticks clutched in their hands, while in enthusiastic revelry with members of the first family.

Not a single IDP camp has been demolished till date.

The inmates are still there living largely at the mercy of private philanthropies.

In 2015, Children of Anger routinely referred to the then president of our country as “Jonadaft”/Idiot/Otuoke drunkard/Imbecile/Clueless One/”Nebu”/ bastard, etc.

Any young schoolchild or far-flung foreigner could be readily forgiven for not knowing that the actual name of the Nigerian president was Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, given the frenzied way these social media denizens went about their diatribes.

In 2016, these COAs are not only extremely careful to use the term “The presidency”, “the government”, “the executive” in any references to the activities of the current president, when they don’t use his full name, they also routinely gripe about attempts by any opposing stance where the president is lampooned, or called by any epithet like “Mr. Inept”, “Boohari” or “Daura Man”.

They call it hate mongering. They sue for peace and pacifism. They demand “constructive criticism” even though the EXACT or even WORSE circumstances and actions as were ascribed to Goodluck Jonathan are being ascribed presently to Muhammadu Buhari.

I confess, I do feel a tinge of embarrassment in engaging with the matter of Buharists. They are so pathetically unintelligent that deriding their nonsense feels a lot like taking potshots at mentally ill, or retarded persons just for sport.

This is why I don’t waste my energy on them. They are pathetic, and this is being kind.

Some of these people claim to believe in some God or the other.

Truth be told if their belief was viable, a God would by now have put in place a divine decree to ensure that Anger and its many torments never leaves their lives and homes.

I however prefer to leave the realm of such contentions as to whether curses or blessings, karma or providence are viable constructs, to more immediately tangible realities:

Dear Humans,

As a society we know what our common culture, in dealing with the matter of human hypocrisy says.

In the same vein I’d say, if you saw a venomous snake and a Child of Anger…and you had a huge stick in your hand…

…well you know what to do.

Good morning, World.
