A dead 2-month old girl was on Thursday, January 7, 2016 discovered inside a carton dumped at a refuse site near Salvation Army Primary School, Sabo, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
It was learnt that the deceased baby’s neck was twisted which clearly suggested that she had been strangulated.
A man who went to the site to defecate was said to have discovered the body around 8am and raised an alarm which attracted the attention of passers-by who loudly cursed the perpetrator of the act.
Officials of the Ambulance Unit of the Ministry of Health later stormed the scene after they were alerted by some of the eye-witnesses.
According to Vanguard, the baby’s lifeless remains was in a carton with diapers, a gown and an Ankara wrapper.
