Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, has continued visiting top pastors in Nigeria.

Obi’s latest visit is to Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministry in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In a tweet on Saturday, November 19, 2022, Obi exchanged ideas with Ibiyeomie on issues ranging from Godliness, and diligence, to productiveness.

He wrote: “Always a pleasure to meet and share quiet moments with my friend and brother, Pastor @DavidIbiyeomie of Salvation Ministry PH.

“It was a rare privilege listening to you minister on Godliness, diligence and productiveness; three core values that I advocate for.

“Thanks for the graciousness, counsel and above all, constant prayers. God bless you. -PO”

This is coming a few days after Obi visited Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries in Edo State.

Obi had met with several clergymen and visited several churches since he began his presidential campaign.

The former Anambra State governor had visited the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, with Pastor Enoch Adeboye preaching.

In July, the LP presidential candidate met the founder of Living Faith Bible Church, David Oyedepo, at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.

Also, Obi met with Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

The LP presidential flagbearer had also met with the Methodist Church community.

Fayose Says PDP Must Negotiate With With Peter Obi And Nyesom Wike

Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti, said the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, needs to negotiate with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state.

Fayose stated this while speaking in an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

According to Fayose, Obi and Wike could affect the chances of the PDP in the 2023 polls.

“Reconciling or negotiating with Obi will be a good thing and finding a way to make peace with these Wike people will be a good thing too,” he said.

Fayose said the former Anambra governor may not secure the required 25 percent of votes in two-third of the states to be declared winner.

The former Ekiti governor asked the PDP to negotiate with Obi, and also resolve the crisis in the party by reconciling with the camp of Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers, in order to win the presidency.

He said, “Obi is a danger to watch out for. I don’t believe Obi will make 25 percent of votes in two-third of the states of the federation.

“I’m not against Obi. I love him and he is a very vibrant leader. I don’t believe he will get the required 25 percent of votes because of my permutations as Ayodele Fayose, but with God, nothing shall be impossible.

“Let me say Obi is more of a chronic cancer to PDP and there is no denying,” he said.

Meanwhile, Fayose also expressed fears over the chances of the PDP winning the South-West and South-East regions of the country in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

He said, “Let me give you an analysis. In South-West, people might not like to hear that, I don’t see how PDP will win. Anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us.

“I don’t see how PDP will win in the South-East. South-south will be a combination of all interests. Let me come to the key states of the north.

“Without deceiving ourselves, there is so much work to do in the north-central. PDP and APC did not pick any candidate, either presidential or vice-presidential, from the north-central. The North-East is where the vice-presidential candidate of APC comes from.

“We will give Adamawa state to our party. Don’t forget there is still another Kwankwaso who is a semi-cancer that can equally upstage figures in the north,” he said.
