A Nigerian student of University of Cape Coast, Ghana, was murdered and dumped by the roadside in Ghana.
The body of Godwin Ayogu, a 300 level Social Science student, was found on Wednesday February 19th 2014. He was allegedly murdered by unknown persons who dropped his body off by the roadside
He was last seen on Tuesday February 18th 2014 on the University campus.
Ayogu was the first child of his parents and was planning a trip to Nigeria the day his body was found.
According to reports, the Ghanaian police are investigating the death of the young man in his early twenties.
Nigerian’s studying in Ghana are concerned that the case will be swept under the carpet.
A Nigerian student was quoted as saying: “We need the Nigerian authorities to interfere and we need security for Nigerian students here.”
Another student said: “It’s sad that a Nigerian is murdered and no one is doing anything about it. With all these things happening, this place isn’t safe.”
