The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced the deployment of sensitive materials to several polling units in Anambra State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
The officials of the commission on Friday, November 5, 2021, began the deployment from Neni, the headquarters of Anaocha local government of the state to the 320 polling units.
Vehicles took turns in conveying their human material resources to their places of operations with security personnel accompanying them.
It was also gathered that security has been beefed up in many strategic areas across the state ahead of the election following fear of attacks.
Some residents of the state had expressed readiness to perform their civil obligation tomorrow as the state is set to establish a new government.
