Police Recover Heavy Arms, Ammunition From Uncompleted Building In Anambra

The Police in Nnewi North Local government Area of Anambra state had on Sunday, October 5, 2014 discovered and taken arms and ammunition, including one AK4, Military rifle, handcuffs, 1,500 live ammunition and 30 fully loaded magazines, from an uncompleted estate at Uruagu Nnewi, which allegedly belongs to a business man based overseas.

The recovery of these arms was following information at the disposal of the police officials.

Furthermore, the joint task force has discovered and exposed a criminal hideout in Nnewi after a thorough search on an erosion site in Nnewi North Council Area Anambra State Vanguard reports.

In a related development, a teenage pregnant girl has been rescued at a suspected baby factory at Odekpe in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra state during an invasion by the joint security task force, consisting of the Police, Army, Navy, Department State Service, DSS, and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

Consequently, a fleeing woman popularly referred to as “nurse” and her agent were captured by the force officials.

Sources made it known that the secret was made open after one of their victims, a pregnant girl gave birth to a baby boy which was taken away from her. It was learnt that she raised an alarm due to the fact that she couldn’t bear being ripped off her baby boy after several months of suffering and the pains of labour she experienced during his birth.

Fortunately, the security operatives later recovered the baby from the owner of the baby factory and handed him over to his rightful mother.
