An Islamic Center was on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 unveiled by Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Dano of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ruru village of Dutse Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
The Islamic center was named after Aisha Buhari, the wife of General Muhammadu Buhari, the current president of Nigeria.
The new center, made up of a Juma’at mosque and an Islamiya school was commissioned by the Jigawa State Deputy Governor, Barrister Ibrahim Hassan Hadeija.
The APC ex-officio disclosed that his next target is to build a maternity clinic for the village, Daily Trust, reports.
According to him, he was inspired to name the center after Aisha Buhari due to “her commitment to women and child development.”
