The crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has taken a new turn as the National Working Committee, NWC, has asked the national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu to resign.
In an NWC meeting that just ended on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, some members insisted Ayu tenders his resignation in a bid to end the party crisis ahead of the 2023 Presidential elections.
According to reports, the embattled chairman has jetted out to Port Harcourt to meet with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
Recall that the current storm in the party began after Wike lost the presidential primary to Atiku Abubakar.
