Buhari Wins APC Presidential Primary, To Face President Jonathan In February

The former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) today, Thursday, December 11, 2014, emerged the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the party’s convention which held at Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos.

By virtue of this development, Buhari is expected to represent the party as the presidential candidate during the general elections scheduled for February 14,2015.

As announced, Buhari had about 5,000 votes being the majority of the votes beating former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, current Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Governor, Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and Sam Nda-Isaiah, publisher of Leadership newspaper.

The power tussle for the presidency is now between the incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan of PDP and Gen. Muhammed Buhari of APC.
