Court Orders NDLEA Operatives To Leave Kahamu’s House ‘Without A Free For All’

Must read

Over 50 operatives of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been ordered by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos to vacate the residence of Mr Buruji Kashamu, the Senator-elect for Ogun East Senatorial District, with immediate effect.

The NDLEA operatives had laid siege to Kashamu’s residence in Lagos since Saturday, May 23, 2015 over an extradition request on Kashamu from the government of the United States of America and was coming to court to secure an extradition order.

However, in a verdict reached by the bench ruling chaired by Justice Ibrahim Buba, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 pronounced the action of the NDLEA as sub-judice, ordering the men of the Nigerian Police to ensure that NDLEA operatives vacate Kashamu’s premises “without a free for all.”
