COVID-19: Governor Fintiri Shuts Down Schools As 2nd Wave Hits Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has ordered public and private schools in Adamawa state to end the first term on Friday, December 18, 2020 and go on vacation immediately.

This comes after an alarming increase in COVID-19 cases in the state.

The governor issued the directive in a statement released on Friday his Press Secretary,  Mr Humwashi Wonosikou.

The statement reads: “This is to allow school children go home early for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

“The schools are to resume for the second term on Jan. 11, 2021.”
