Daybreak, A Poem By Oraye St. Franklyn Celebrating PDP’s Victory In Bayelsa Poll

Must read

Oh it is dawn.
Yes, it’s done.
Aching bones stretch.
Yawning relief from nymphing nightmares.

Oh it is dawn.
Yes, it’s done.
A new day comes.
Jinx breaking release from the shame of yore.

From Creek to Creek,
Creaking cries of dawn,
-Songs sung by blackberry birds-
Unleash sweet sweetness to our own very taste.

Oh it is dawn!
Yes, it’s done!
A new day has come!

Beautiful dawn of mother nature’s call.
A rising sun from yonder planes.
A defying drift from Mayor’s might.
Around and around,
And about and about,
Away and away from the charging chains,
– crafty change of changing changers.

Oh! It is dawn!
Yes, It’s done!

Uhuru! Uhuru! Uhuru it is!
Aha! Ahaaaa! Haaaa Izon!
You follow!
You follow?
Together we go!
And never again shall we ever relapse.

It’s done. This dawn is done as dawn.
From Creek to Creek and ears apiece
Alas and aloud oh hear our voice
It’s done. This done is dawn as done.
As dawn as done, this dawn is done.
