The Federal Government has, again, promised Nigerian youths that it would create over two million jobs for nationwide through products and services that could catapult them to the global market.

It said it would do this through the Youth and Sports Development Ministry where the Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, said on Thursday, April 21, 2016 that through its online portal, “Nigeriafy,” youths across the country would access the jobs.

This is coming after the federal government has failed to fulfill or deny it promised unemployed Nigerians N5000 monthly.

Dalung made the disclosure during the unveiling of the Nigeriafy portal with the theme “Youth Innovators are Assets to the nation”.

The Ministry organized the event in collaboration with George Oni Youth Empowerment Initiative and in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.

Dalung told the youths participants that the ministry with the youth empowerment initiative was to boost youth development in the nation.

The minister said the portal would create 100,000 jobs, added that the first 12 best innovators to register on the portal will be assisted with $1000 each as seed money for their innovation.
