Traders are currently counting their losses after a fire outbreak that gutted a two-storey building at Lobo Extension located in Owerri on Sunday, October 19, 2014 destroying goods and property estimated at about one billion Naira.
According to Vanguard, there was no death records as the owners of the foam shops that gutted were in their various houses whereas the people who were living in the building were in their respective churches for Sunday worship when the tragedy erupted.
Although there were various properties lost to the incident including a Volvo station wagon vehicle, important documents like certificates and archival artifacts.
Meanwhile, most of the victims were sighted weeping profusely following the incident and the loss accompanied with it.
