Fuel Price Hike: APC Threatens To Expel Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani For Criticising Buhari

Must read

For daring to criticize the tyrannical rule of President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State on Thursday, May 19, 2016, warned Senator Shehu Sani to either stop forthwith or be expelled from the ruling party.

Acting publicity secretary of the party in Kaduna State, Salisu Tanko Wusono, had said that Sani’s attack on the president began last year, explaining that the party had planned to “teach him lessons”, hence it placed him on an 11-month suspension to weaken his criticism of the president.

Sani who represents Kaduna Central in the senate was placed on suspension for alleged acts of indiscipline, disloyalty and anti-party activities.

The publicity secretary said the party had wanted Sani to amend his ways and stop criticizing the president for whatever reasons.

According to ThisDay, Salisu told journalists in Kaduna that the intention of the party for the disciplinary action meted on him was to teach him vital lessons, but lamented that rather than show remorse and become responsible senator, he has rather become an antagonist to the president.

“Given his disregard for the party, the APC Kaduna State has no option but to take further disciplinary measures that may lead to his expulsion,” Salisu said.

He said the senator had disappointed the party under which he was elected senator of the federal republic of Nigeria.

According to him, the senator has shown himself disloyal to the party and President Muhammadu, lamenting that Sani had turned to criticizing Buhari under whose popularity he got to the senate.

“In speech and conduct, he has shown himself incapable of loyalty to our party, the APC and our great leader, President Muhammadu Buhari,” the party warned.
