Fulani Herdsmen Attack: Enugu Police Commissioner Redeployed to Eastern Ports Authority

Must read

The Enugu State commissioner of police, Mr. Emmanuel Nwodibo, has been redeployed from the state. His redeployment followed the Force Headquarters response to the shoddy manner with which he handled the recent Fulani Herdsmen attack on Nimbo community in Enugu State.

He has been replaced with CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, former force spokesman with immediate effect.

Recall that the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, had said that security agents have questions to answer over the killings in Nimbo community.

Against the rumour that Nwodibo has been sacked, the force spokesman, Ms. Olabisi Kolawole, said he has been redeployed to the Eastern Ports Authority in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Kolawole made this disclosure on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. “No, the CP [Commissioner of Police]  was not sacked. He was only redeployed and we didn’t issue a statement on it because it is a normal procedure in the force.

“He has been redeployed to Eastern Port Authority in Port Harcourt and it has nothing to do with herdsmen attack in the state,” Kolawole maintained.
