An Isolo Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State has arraigned a 27-year-old man, Saidi Abubakar, for allegedly biting off the lip of another man, a 25-year-old Abubakar Abdulahi, because he refused his sexual advance towards him.
Both the complainant and the defendant live at Ago Palace Way, Okot area of the state where the incident allegedly happened.
Police officials at the Okota Division stated that the defendant was arrested for his involvement in indecent act by forcing his victim into unlawful sex and assault.
Abubakar allegedly confessed to committing the crime and was charged with indecent act, conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault under the Criminal Code.
The court heard from the prosecutor, Mr. Abayomi Abass, that it was not the first time the accused was involved in sexual assault of males as he had been arrested on two occasions by the police for harassing and molesting males for sex.
Abubaka however, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out for him.
Presiding magistrate, Mrs Y. R. Pinheiro, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Meanwhile, after Pinheiro was transferred, the case was taken over by Magistrate Joy Ugbomoiko.
