Governor Badaru Raises Alarm Over Increasing Number Of Missing Children

The Jigawa State Government has raised concerns over the increasing rate of missing children across the state recently.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Special Adviser Media and Public Relations to the Governor, Habibu Nuhu Kila..

The statement said the government is conscious of the security and wellbeing of its citizens and will continue to provide maximum protection to the people.

He advised the citizens of the state to always report suspicious moments of unknown people within the community to the nearest security agencies.

Badaru said the advice became necessary over the reported cases of missing children recently in some local government areas of the state.

He assured that the government and other stakeholders are working tirelessly to protect the lives and properties of citizens.

Lawan Shiisu Adam, the spokesman for the Jigawa State Police Command, confirmed the incidents.

He said recently, there is a reported case of a missing child happened in Dutse Local Government.

He said the Police on 13/11/2021 received a report that 15-year-old Maryam Hamisu of Takur Site Qtrs Dutse LGA Jigawa State, left home at Takur Site to Dutse Ultra Modern Market and since then, have not been seen nor returned home.

He urged the public to help security agencies with any vital information that will help in maintaining the security of the state.
