Interesting: Violently Anti-Gay Uganda Ranks Top 3 Country That Views Gay Porn Online

Must read

According to Church of England priest and column writer for the Guardian, Giles Fraser, the Ugandan law against homosexuality that just recently passed through the democratic government, banning any kind of “evil behavior,” such as kissing or holding hands, has raised controversy around the world.

After international opposition against the bill, that was originally thought up in 2009, the death penalty for repeat offenders was taken out by the Ugandan politicians, but still carries a term of life imprisonment, according to Fraser.

The British priest went on to say that at the Ugandan embassy in London this past week, around 50 people gathered to demonstrate against the new legislation and asked that President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, not sign the bill into law.

Peter Tatchell, who was selected for Parliamentary candidacy for Bermondsey in 1981 by the Labour Party, said that the new bill was worse than some of the conditions imposed on gays in other countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The Australian-born British political campaigner for gay rights went on to say that Uganda will now become the “anti-gay capital of the world.” He added that he thought that it was disgusting that such a law should be allowed.

However, Fraser states that even though Ugandans are so against homosexuality, gay p0rn0 sites are viewed on the Internet in Uganda to such amounts that they fall only behind Kenya and Pakistan in their recorded searches, according to Google statistics.

Fraser goes on to suggest that, the reason that Uganda legislators passed the new bill may have been because they were inclined to think about gay sex, but they didn’t want to admit to that because it was frowned upon in their country.

The parish priest at St. Mary’s in Newington, London went on to write in his regular Saturday column in the Guardian that he believes that secret thoughts of homosexuality can produce violent reactions against gays.

Fraser concludes his column by stating that the “kill the gays” bill of Uganda is not a part of God’s plan because God is all about love and not hate.
