The Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board has paid N483.888 million to 209 retirees for the month of December, 2021.
Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa, the executive secretary of the Board, stated this while briefing newsmen on the December payment in his office.
He revealed that, the beneficiaries are categorized into four for the payment of their rights.
He said; “The first category include 156 retired beneficiaries who have retired from the service.
“The amount of over N355.509 million was for beneficiaries in that category, the second category of the beneficiaries are those 41 people that have died while in service and will get the total amount of N118, 224 million.
“The third category of 11 beneficiaries are under the death pension balance and will get N10,025 million as their entitlement while the fourth category of beneficiaries are those who are not in service for up to five years.”
He then commended Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubukar for his support to the board and releasing the pensioners’ entitlement at the right time.
