Man Murders Helpless Couple, Claims To be 500-Year-Old Vampire (VIDEO)

Must read

Back in 1996, Roderrick Justin “Rod” Ferrell brutally murdered a Florida couple, the parents of his then girlfriend, Heather Wendorf.

Ferrell was a member of a gang of teenagers in Murray, Kentucky, who believed they were vampires. Known as the “Vampire Clan” they would often drink each other’s blood and recruit estranged youth into their lifestyle.

At the time, Ferrell was only 16-years-old and claimed to be a 500-year-old vampire named Vassago.

Naomi and Richard Wendorf were at home in the quiet, rural neighborhood of Eustis when Ferrell and his acccomplice, Howard Anderson, entered their residence through an unlocked garage door. The helpless couple had no idea what was about to happen.

Richard was asleep on the couch when his head was bludgeoned countless times with a crowbar. When Heather’s mother came out of the shower, she was also attacked and killed in cold blood. Although the pair did not drink their victims’ blood, before escaping the scene of the crime in the couple’s Ford Explorer, Ferrell took a moment to carve his cult’s symbol–the letter V– into Richard’s corpse.

Heather’s sister, Jennifer, later came home to discover her parents dead and her sister missing. Could you imagine stumbling about such a horrific and traumatizing sight?

Three days after fleeing, police caught up with the killers, along with a few of their followers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, including 15-year-old Heather.

In 1998, Ferrell was sentenced to the death penalty, but it was later reduced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. At the time, he was the youngest person on death row.
