Mutoti’s 31-year-old wife, Alice Kuvheya, reported cases of rape and domestic violence at St Mary’s Police Station against Mutoti with claims that she was infected with a deadly virus by the mayor when she was restored two years ago, according to My Zimbabwe.co.zw.

The police on Saturday, July 11, 2015 invaded the mayor’s house in the company of his wife to arrest him, but were locked out by the man.

The aggrieved wife said, “I am tired of him; after he infected me.

“He can have up to 15 girlfriends and gives them US$100 as payment. In order to manage the whole night engaging in sex, he buys the Blue Diamond Pill.

“He raped me in 2013 which is when he infected me and as soon as I fell sick akanditi kana usiri kunwa mapiritsi, watoparara.

“He brings his girlfriends home including the one who was published to be having an affair with him.

“Philip is of a violent nature, he can send bouncers to beat up someone if they do not get along.”

According to the woman, her husband resorted to sleeping in a different bedroom after the man’s infidelity with a married woman was published in the dailies in June 2015.

She added, “My life became horrible after you exposed his illicit affair, his sister would tell me that I would eat when the dog had had its own fair share of food. With this ill-treatment came death threats that led to me leaving the house and going to live at the Musasa Project house. I don’t even have any clothes.

“As it is, he holds on to his late wife’s property which makes me wonder if he’ll let go of mine.”

It was gathered that the man’s sister, Eva Mutoti, 38, said the local dailies had damaged the reputation of her brother following the publication on his illicit affairs.

The man’s wife collapsed while she was waiting for her papers to be sorted out at the police station.

She was rushed to Chitungwiza Central hospital for treatment.

The police said the man turned himself in for arrest but he is yet to make comments as regards the latest development.
