A notorious kidnapper identified as Henry Chibueze aka ‘Vampire’ has been arrested by the officials of the Imo State police command after his gang failed in their attempt to kidnap the judges of the Imo State Election Tribunal who were lodged at Disney Hotels, along Onitsha-Owerri Road.

Vampire’s arrest was instigated following an intelligence report received by the security operatives in the state.

According to reports, the kidnap kingpin and his gang members escaped the hotel with gunshot injuries on the fateful day.

Vampire was later arrested at his elder brother’s house where he had gone to treat himself.

Also arrested was his elder brother and wife alongside other suspects who include; Hakeem Bello from Kwara State, Alexander Ohigide his “native doctor”, and a man who claims to be his treasurer.

In a confessional statement, Vampire who is married with children revealed that he operates in many parts of Nigeria, Cotonou (Republic of Benin) and Abijan (Ivory Coast), where his family lives.

He also revealed how he deceived his wife who hails from Cameroon with a lie that he sells clothes.

More so, the notorious kidnapper confessed to killing some of his victims who were “stubborn” after he kidnapped them.

The police recovered several items from him which include: a large sum of Ivorian currency, some AK 47 rifles, and pistols.
