The Ondo State Government has ordered the suspension of commercial motorcycle operations in Akure metropolis which takes effect from 12 am on Friday, July 24, 2015.

Any offender caught going against the newly enforced rule would have his motorcycle impounded by appropriate authority.

The suspension was imminent following a Thursday, July 23, 2015 protest by commercial motorcyclists which resulted in the destruction of government property and harassment of officials.
