While pointing out that the project was being handled by the Ondo State Direct Labour Agency Team One, the Governor said Arakale Comprehensive Health Center was one of the busiest health facilities in the country.

He explained that his administration had decided to upgrade the facilities at the Health Centre as part of his government’s resolve to make adequate and quality health care delivery facilities available to the people of Ondo State.

The Governor assured that the Health Centre will be adequately equipped to provide first class primary health care delivery services to the people of the state, adding that this will complement other health care facilities already put in place by his government across Ondo State.

While explaining the rationale behind the upgrading of Arakale Comprehensive Health Centre facilities, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Adeyanju noted that it was necessary to effect a total reconstruction of the Health Centre to enable it accommodate more patients and address the perennial inadequate facilities in the Centre.

According to him, the Centre which used to be a very small building was receiving nothing less than 10 deliveries on a daily basis, pointing out the need to expand the facilities at the Health Centre.

He said among other facilities to be provided at the new structure are ante-natal ward, clinic ward, labour ward, immunization and family planning facilities and other necessary health care delivery equipment.
