Opinion: One Nigeria Indeed, Look At Nigeria

Must read

by Obed Nnaji

One Nigeria indeed. Nigeria is the only country in the world where the led are more educated than the leaders. It is so with available statistics. In Nigeria, the blinds and the backwards are in charge of the rest. With Nigeria, I see no hope of near civilization. My generation will never see the kind of development witnessed in Europe during the industrial revolution because here in Nigeria, the educated and skilled are frustrated while the semi educated and unskilled are offered opportunities to become the heads of Government agencies and offices.

If you doubt my position, take a look at this current cut off marks for admission into higher schools in Nigeria below. In those days, I used to think that the unjust policy was to encourage some people go to school at that time, temporary means, palliative and to measure up. But unfortunately, it has become permanent. My son will definitely ask why just as I asked why?

Look at Nigeria!
