People in Michigan, are outraged and scared after vicious rapes that occurred on 3 different occasions in recent weeks.
A group of men raped three women in separate, but similar attacks in Detroit.
All three women were raped while walking with a male companion. The armed men forced the couples to remove their clothes and hand over their personal belongings.
The armed men then forced the male to watch as the woman was being raped.
In the first case, police said that six men cornered a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man on Thursday night, and forced them into a secluded alleyway at gunpoint.
The pair had been walking together when they found the suspects around 10:00 p.m. in the 13000 block of West McNichols Road.
“The male victim was forced to watch the woman get sexually assaulted and his clothes were stolen,” Detroit Police Deputy Chief Carlos Fitzgerald said.
The suspects fled on foot, leaving the couple with just their underwear.
The second assault occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, by four men along McNichols Road. One of the suspects is believed to have been involved in the first sexual assault case. The victims were a 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man.
Both sexual assaults are believed to be similar to a case that occurred earlier this month, which left a woman raped and a man robbed.
Sketches of three suspects have been released by Detroit investigators, but so far, no arrests have been made.
