‘Respect the office of the President’ – Atiku Condemns Attacks On President Jonathan’s Campaign Train

Must read

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the attacks on the campaign train of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s presidential candidate, Presidnt Goodluck Jonathan in some parts of Northern Nigeria.

The former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, took to his Facebook page on Friday, January 23, 2015 to express his disapproval on the attacks which occurred in Katsina and Buachi during the week.

In his post, Atiku said:

I would like caution against the violence targeted at the president’s campaign in some parts of Nigeria. This is wrong and inexcusable!

While many may have real grievances against the president’s leadership, the office of the president must never be disrespected.

The best way to exercise discontent in a democracy is to channel energy into campaigning and voting during the elections.
