Senator Akume Is My Financial Sponsor – APC Candidate Daniel Onjeh

Must read

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Benue South Senatorial candidate, Daniel Onjeh has confirmed that former governor of the state Senator George Akume is his financial sponsor in the Benue South senatorial election.

Onjeh who has repeatedly denied having any link with Akume over the sponsorship of the Benue South senatorial election, confirmed this in an affidavit supporting his electoral bid.

The people of Benue South senatorial district otherwise called Idoma have consistently accused Onjeh of playing the Tiv agenda against the interest of Idoma people. Onjeh is believed to be the ready and willing tool in the hands of rival Tiv ethnic nationality against the collective interest of the Idoma nation.

Akume and Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom have been fingered as top financials of Onjeh against Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a claim both politicians have neither confirmed to bothered to refute.

It will be recalled that less than 24 hours after the former Senate President David Mark election was annulled, Governor Ortom went on air to dissociate himself from influencing the Appeal Court’s judgment when no one accused him of doing so.

Efforts to reach Onjeh on Tuesday for comments proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
