It’s a good thing to be alive and well enough to witness today, the last day of the year. Indeed, God has been good to us. Glory to Him for ever.
Don’t take it for granted that you are alive and well, and that you are blessed with food to eat, clothes to wear, and a house to live in: some of us are blessed with much more than we need: it’s not because of our intelligence or skill or wisdom, it’s all because of the grace of God.
We’ve got to be grateful to God for all He has done for us. Some of us got new jobs this year; some of us acquired new properties and assets; some of us got married; had children; gained admission; started new ventures; etc. They are all gifts from God.
David said, “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.” Psalms 103:1-2. May that be your own confession today. Amen.
Father, I am grateful for all that You have done for me and my family: I am grateful for Your provisions, for healing and good health; I am grateful for Your protection and mercies; be praised forever and ever. Amen.
