Several days after the collapse of guest house in the premises of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), the General Overseer of the church Prophet Temitope Joshua deployed a team to South Africa to deliver some cash, anointed water and maize meal to families of victimized South Africans.

The building housing several nationals of South Africa collapsed on Friday, September 12, 2014 and claimed about 116 people out of which 84 South Africans were identified.

One of the beneficiaries of the gift items, Thanduxolo Doro who lost her sister Vathiswa Madikiza in the tragic incident had this to say, “They met with my family at home, offering condolences, and gave them R5000. I told them: ‘Whatever you are offering, it can never compare with the life of my sister”.

Speaking about the latest development, Kirsten Nematandani the former president of the South African Football Association and a member of Prophet Joshua’s church disclosed that the several teams from the church have paid homage and sympathized with different families that were affected by the tragedy.

“In fact this is the second round of visits …We are assisting the families with whatever they need, school fees, rent, groceries and toiletries,” he said.

“The families are so grateful for the help …we take the message from the man of God that they must pray with him for the loss of their loved ones. We give them the anointed water to strengthen them.”

However, he maintained that the church has pledged an allegiance to continue standing by the families of the dead victims.
