A high school student has become a global internet sensation after posting a video of himself appearing to catch his own 40-yard pass.
American footballer Gary Haynes, 17, from Texas, uploaded the six-second clip onto video-sharing website Vine earlier this month.
The jaw-dropping display of athleticism shows the Manvel High School student appearing to hurl the ball into the air before sprinting underneath the pass to catch it 40 yards away.
The clip has since been shared more than 400,000 times and his new-found fame saw him invited to the illustrious NFL draft in New York last week.
When asked about those who doubted the authenticity of the clip, he said: “I always tell them ‘if you bring me $1000, I’ll do it for you again’, other than that keep watching the video.”
