Man Allegedly Kills Homosexual Sex Partner He Met On Facebook In Lagos Hotel

Another social media love tragedy has occurred in Lagos after a homosexual allegedly murdered the male sex partner he met on Facebook in a hotel room in Lagos.

A similiar incident happened in Festac in 2012 when Cynthia Osokogu’s facebook lovers lured her to Lagos and allegedly murdered her in a hotel room in  Festac Town, Lagos.

In the latest incident, the police at State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Yaba, arrested the 24-year old suspected murderer, Michael Okorocha, and the manager of the popular hotel at Oke Afa area of Lagos State, western Nigeria, over the murder of the 20-year old youth identified as Okere Chinedu John.

Okorocha allegedly used a jack knife and sliced John’s throat in the hotel room and he bled to death.

P.M.NEWS learnt that Okorocha and the late John suspected to be homosexuals, met on social media and became friends.

According to  police sources, Okorocha, who resides at Mafon Area in Ogun State, allegedly lured John who resides in Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos State to the hotel to have sex with him.

The police sources said that while they were inside the room, John resisted Okorocha’s attempt to have sex with him and in anger, Okorocha used a knife and sliced John’s throat and he bled to death.

After the incident, Okorocha reportedly lied to the hotel staff on duty that he wanted to buy something outside the hotel and escaped.

The following when the management went on routine check in the rooms at the hotel, they discovered the naked body of John with blood all over the room.

The matter was reported at Ejigbo police Station and the manager was arrested. The police later tracked down Okorocha through the help of his parents in Mafon area.

The matter was transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.

Okorocha reportedly confessed to the police that he murdered John in anger.

He said after paying to lodge in the executive suite, John refused to satisfy him sexually, so he had to kill him.

When our reporter visited the hotel at the weekend, the hotel was still shut by the police.

A staff of the hotel who confirmed the incident declined to speak further on the matter.

The police have charged Okorocha before Ebute Meta Magistrates’ court with murder.

He was remanded in prison custody at Ikoyi Prison pending the advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DDP.

In 2012, four suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of the daughter of a retired Major, Cynthia Osokogu.

The suspects are Okwumo Echezona Nwabufor, 33, Ezike Ilechukwu Olisaeloka, 23, Orji Osita, 32, and Maduakor Chukwunonso, 25.

They were slammed with  an eight-count charge of murder, armed robbery, administering the late Cynthia with obnoxious substance known as Rohyenol via Ribena fruit drink, among  others.

According to the charge, the suspects also had unlawful sexual intercourse with the victim without her consent.

Cynthia Osokogu, the only daughter of retired Major Frank Osokogu, was a post graduate student and boutique owner based in Nassarawa State.

She met the undergraduates, who later murdered her, through social networking site Facebook.

The principal suspects allegedly confessed to the police that they lured her to Lagos from her base in Nassarawa State under the pretext that they are also into clothing business.

After receiving her at the Murtala Muhammed airport in Lagos, they took her to a hotel in Festac Town.

Eloka said they later put Rohyenol tablet in her Ribena drink  and slept with her for about 12 hours.

After discovering that  Cynthia did not have a lot of money on her as they earlier presumed, they raped her for 12 hours and later strangled her.

Following the arrest and subsequent parade of  Olisaeloka and his cousin, Nwabufor, over the murder of Cynthia, three more ladies came forward, saying they were once victims of the alleged murderers.

The three women reportedly went to Festac Police Command to write a statement about how they were drugged, raped and robbed by the suspects now facing trial.
