World No. 1 in women’s singles tennis, Serena Williams is featured in the August 10, 2015 issue of New York Magazine. Inside the stellar feature story by Kerry Howley, the tennis star who has won the grand slam thrice in the past six months speaks about her retirement plan and a lot more.
Talking about her Serena’s Signature Statement Collection as her career wouldn’t last forever, she said:
“I have lots of trophies, and I’m just — I’m not that person that needs to see all these trophies. I have some in my house here, some in my house there, some I don’t know what happened to ’em. I have my grand-slam trophies … somewhere.”
She is also of the opinion that she and her elder sister, Venus brought fashion back into the game of tennis
“We brought fashion back to tennis. It was great when Chris Evert was around. Tracy Austin had some great designs. But the ’90s was not a good time,” she said.
Serena went on to explain that she actually wanted to design wedding dresses but had to switch to athletic wears.
“That was my first real love, but then I was like, Listen. I’m playing professional tennis. I’ll just do athleticwear,” she continued.
Here are some sexy photos of Serena from this issue. She shows how flexible she can be as she flaunts her curvy figure.
