A grief-stricken groom had despised odds to wed his dead girlfriend so she would meet God in heaven as a married woman.
The ceremony took place in Suri Thailand after Sarinya Kamsook,29, died from a ghastly motor accident.
Chadil Deffy, a TV producer, met the deceased at university and had dated her for ten years before the unfortunate incident.
The couple were both undergraduates at Eastern Asia University according to Daily Mail UK.
Kamsook had asked Deffy to marry her but was turned down over claims that he had a heavy work load coupled with other family commitments.
According to friends, the devastated Deffy decided to do the ‘right thing’ by wedding her corpse shortly before she was buried in order to right the wrong of refusing to marry her when she previously asked him to.
The wedding ceremony took place at the same time as Sarinya’s funeral where Deffy placed a ring on her finger and kissed the ‘bride’.
Clad in a suit and top hat at the grim ceremony, the groom slided the wedding ring onto the ‘bride’s’ finger.
He took to his Facebook wall and wrote: “In your eyes, our action might seem as a great love. But for us, it is the mistake which we could not go back in time to correct. Remember, life is short.
“Do what you desire, and take good care of the people you love, be they your parents, your siblings. You might never get that chance again.”
