2 Suicide Bombers Blow Up Selves As Osinbajo Visits Maiduguri

Two suicide bombers accidentally blew up themselves in the morning of Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Molai Leprosy/General Hospital and about 100 metres away from a locally established market in Borno State.

This is coming up as Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo paid a visit to the victims of insurgency in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Two persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in the fresh twin suicide bomb attack that occurred around 11 am.

According to Vanguard, the suicide bombers were suspected to be terrorists who sneaked into the city from Sambisa forest, a fortified camps of the Boko Haram sect.

According to sources, the first suicide bomber detonated his own explosives at the hospital’s gate injuring two passersby in the process, while the second bomber who was riding on bicycle accidentally killed himself as his explosives behind the hospital.

In the meantime, the state police command is yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
