HEARTBREAKING: 24-Year-Old Mum Admits To Suffocating Her 2 Infants To Death (PICTURED)

A 24-year old woman has confessed to suffocating her to children to death with plastic bags.

Sonya Spoon, was is in custody on charges of first degree murder after the death of the children – 1 year old Ayden Spoon and 3 year old Kayla Thompson.

Spoon admitted to police that she killed both children at her Maryland home on Sunday, September 8, 2014. Paramedics who arrived the scene found both children unconscious, both infants later died at an undisclosed hospital according to a Metro UK report.

Upon arrest, Spoon dismissed her right to remain silent, allegedly giving confessional statement to the end that was involved in the death of the children, police said.

In his statement, police major Cesar Pacheco said  “Both victims were found to be in distress and experiencing difficulty breathing. Officers located evidence of foul play which was readily apparent in the home. [Spoon] provided a very detailed statement implicating her involvement in the death of her children. As a result [Spoon] was charged with two counts of first degree murder. Bags were placed over the children’s heads – we are still exploring what the motive was at this time.”Rushern L.Baker III, Prince George’s county executive had this to say: “We are all saddened by this tragic event. The loss of two children that were so young tugs at our hearts. As the police investigate this horrible case, our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the people of the Cheverly community as they try to reconcile how and why this happened.”

The suspect will stay in custody until her arraignment.
