The daughters of the director, Federal Ministry of Works, Dr. Samson Opaluwa, both students of Covenant University, who were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from their residence at 55 Associated Estate, Impresit Karmo, Abuja on June 8, 2014 have been released.
Ejura Opaluwa, 23, and Unekwu Opaluwa, 19, were reportedly released without the demanded ransom of 200 million being paid.
Their release was disclosed by Metropole Magazine, an Abuja based magazine on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

However, the family of the girls are yet to make an official statement concerning their release.
