After six months, social photo sharing site, Instagram has restored Rihanna’s account.
The website had deactivated her account because she posted a nude photo of herself, violating the rules use.
On Tuesday, April 29, Rihanna posted her revealing cover for French magazine Lui on Instagram which resulted in a a warning from site officials for the singer to stop sharing semi-nude photos or risk having her account permanently removed.
Here is the photo she posted:
The photo was deleted by Instagram and the singer responded by posting the banned pic on Twitter instead. She also appeared to mock Instagram’s rules by sharing a comical photo alongside the caption “Rih’s next magazine cover if it was up to Instagram.”
After more willful violations, Instagram deactivated Rihanna’s account.
It looks like the misunderstand is over as the super pop star took to Instagram to celebrate her return with the cartoon below, with the caption, “#RIHunited #badgalback @instagRam“.
Rihanna is a social media powerhouse with almost 13 million followers.
